Bergen XVI

I’ve done it. I’ve thought every possible thought. After seven hours stuck in my ear protectors and my noisy head the latter finally shut up. It’s quite a nice feeling, just wish the drooling, distant stare wouldn’t tag along as a side effect.

I’m building a box. This I know how to do. Finally. No second guessing your choises, just measure, measure again and cut. Just me, my blyant and the measuring tape. Slowly. Carefully. Accurately. Sun rises, sun sets.. A jig here, a jig there.. in every meaning.. ish. I did have proper reason for wanting to become a carpenter.. once upon a youth.

Norwegian does have the noosiest words. Noosy isn’t a word, but akkurat is. And blyant. And glipp, and overflate and klining (which is.. onomatopoetically.. an odd word to put to the phenomenon “to make out”). Morsomt sounds depressing. Moro is better. Koselig.. Boss.. or søppel if you prefer that one. Tirsdag. Potetgull. Tyttebær. Fløtmyse. Ting.. tang.. And my favourite by far: tøy.

I like noosy too.. it makes me want to pull up my shoulders, wrinkle my nose and squint my eyes. Until I realize that the wrinkles might stick and I quickly smooth my face out to the ordinary, blank there’s-nothing-going-on-in-here-expression. Dibs on the royalties, by the way.

Do you know that phenomenon, when you’re boring your poor blog readers with a whole lot of nothing just because you ate too much sugar a late wednesday evening I got the unneccesary idea to write a blog post? I need a word for that too.

A new end. Yet again. Been there, done that. Seen it, tasted it, read the brochure, saw the movie, tickled it’s tummy, slept with it, shot it, buried it, wrote a biography about it and made some money.

You who are back there will have to put up with some serious reminiscence when I get back. You who are here will in turn have to put up with some strange behaviour due to separation anxiety. So sorry.

And I sort of wonder.. If you pull up a plant by it’s roots, will it have a sense of freedom before it dies?

Oh, and if depressing music makes you happy, whilst happy music makes you irritated, and irritating music makes you angry, and angry music makes you frustrated and frustrating music makes you sad.. Why not give this a listen?
